With age comes self acceptance, authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who were suppose to be and embracing who we are. It’s a beautiful thing when you choose it. You care less and less about what people think about you and care more about your inner intuition and heart. Three things that I have learned to accept about myself with age…
1. My body , although from society standards, I’m far from perfect but I pushed out a human being from this body and I learned to love the skin I’m in
2. The struggle , I don’t shy away from challenges, instead I walk into the struggle and get comfortable with operating and living there. Struggles are a way of life, and i have learned to confront them. And you never know sometimes the most challenging things can hold the greatest opportunity for success
3. Other people negative or positive opinion of me, I have learned to accept that none of it is personal or real for that matter. An opinion is a perspective not truth. So regardless people think I’m awesome or horrible, I am still me. I must be aware to intentionally not attach to either, because believing in one or the other is a trap and an addiction for either self loathing for more attention. Self acceptance allows me to love myself unconditionally regardless of what the world might think of me
Let go of trying to fix yourself you are not broken. The truth is your level of belonging can never be greater than your level of self acceptance, because believing that you are is what gives you the courage to be authentic , vulnerable and imperfect perfectly.
